Background

Tenoreque Legal is managed by its Principal Attorney & Founder – Bellina Barrow. Bellina is a West Indian-qualified, trained and based lawyer with local and regional legal experience and a wide local, regional and international network inclusive of Senior Attorneys, Senior/King’s Counsel and other professionals.

In addition to her current civil litigation experience, Bellina has recent experience in commercial disputes involving shipments, commercial real estate, resisting foreign arbitral awards and enforcement of foreign judgment debts. She is also approached periodically to give preliminary advice on fintech and virtual assets matters for the purposes of proposed transactional matters and for proposed cryptocurrency and virtual assets disputes.

Bellina is also a published author of different fintech and virtual assets articles including: “De-risking, Re-risking & Financial Crime in this Era of Alternative Finance” first published in the OCCBA Journal, Vol. 6 No. 1 (Jan – Jun 2024), “Clearing the Digital Assets Haze: A Trinidad and Tobago Perspective” published in the Journal of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, Vol 33. No 3.  in December 2023, among other publications.

Her present Bar admissions are  Trinidad & Tobago, Antigua & Barbuda and the British Virgin Islands (as an overseas/non-resident Solicitor). She also remains networked in various other Caribbean countries, Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, parts of the United States, Australia, India, China etc.
